*Note: 

Full Member is an individual Foster Carer or a person who meets the definition specified in the Governance Charter, prescribed under rule 6.2 of this Constitution.

An Associate Member is defined in the Governance Charter under rule 6.4 and may be:

  • A corporate body or an organisation/Support Group which supports the Federation’s objectives, and its membership application is approved by the Board.
  • An agency approved under the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, or a non-government foster care organisation whose aims are in agreement with the objectives of the Federation.
  • An individual who has close ties with the foster care sector.

Refund Policy

  • 100% refunds are available until 30 August 2024.
  • A 50% refund is available until 13 September 2024.
  • No refunds are available after 14 September 2024.
  • You may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost.

HELP WITH COSTS - The Jen Kinsella Memorial Fund

We are thrilled to introduce the Jennifer Kinsella Memorial Fund, named after our previous Marketing and Communications Manager, who we sadly lost last year.

Jen was the mastermind behind our previous conferences, running them with amazing efficiency. She was also passionate about our conference appreciation fund, which provided financial assistance to help caregivers attend our conference.

In honour of Jen and her dedication to the appreciation fund, we commit to continuing and growing this fund in her name. With her family’s permission, we have named this the Jen Kinsella Memorial Fund. So, we remember Jen at every conference, not with sadness but with appreciation for her contribution to care families across New Zealand. So, her generosity, kindness, and desire to do good will live on in a way that we believe she will like.
